Fulltime Courses – July / December Session

1) 18-Month Diploma in Animation & Film Making : This course teaches you 2D animation for the first six months, 2D Digital Animation for the next four months and 3D animation & VFX for the last eight months. This is the only credible full time course offering intensive training in all areas of animation - 2D / 3D / VFX. Students can compete for all types of 2D, 3D and VFX job opportunities after passing out of this course. This is a fulltime course.

2) 1-Year Diploma in 2D Classical Animation & Film Making : Students, who have an artistic bend of mind, possess a constant itch to draw or who have been into drawing/painting can opt for this course.  Students get trained into 2D animation throughout the year.  This course is suitable for those students who want a career in 2D animation and who want to leverage their artistic/drawing/painting expertise in the industry. This is a fulltime course.

3) 6-Month Diploma in Flash Animation & Compositing : To cater to the increasing number of manpower requirement in companies working in flash or compositing RTG has designed this course so that students' skills match with the requirement of the industry. Students are trained in all aspects of Flash and basic compositing, so that their expertise is valued by the companies for absorption. This is a fulltime course.

4) 3-Year BSc in Animation Film Making : The demand for animators has increased to a great extent due to fast-paced developments in the sectors like high-tech digital media and 3D animation. A formal training can be of great help for acquiring the technical skills required for this field. But most of the academies in India are offering 3-Year Degree in Multimedia & Animation.  We know that multimedia is not animation, and students should focus learning animation for three years rather that wasting 1 or 1½ years for learning website development or graphic design.  RTG believes a good 3-year program in animation can help the industry to grow. The Bachelor's degree in Animation Film Making includes specialized training in vast number of methods and techniques in animation film making. It also covers training on the application of various audio and visual effects for animation film projects. The undergraduate programs prepare the students to deal with workplace challenges and imbibe in them general management skills. Students after successfully completing the course may join as animators in various companies. The degree is conferred by Punjab Technical University (PTU). [PTU is a State Govt. University and recognized by UGC, Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India. The university is a member of Association of India Universities (AIU) and approved by DEC.] The course is recognized nationally and internationally. Admission is going on for 3 Year BSc Degree in Animation Film Making. Eligible candidates should appear at our campus at Jindal Tower along with the following documents:

• Copies of mark sheets of the examinations passed
• Copy of age proof document (Admit Card / Certificate of Madhyamik / 10th Board)
• 2 copies of passport photos

5) 3-Year Bachelor in Media Science (BMS-Hons) :  This is a course under West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT) and is suitable for candidates who aspire to work in different media including print, radio, electronic, digital and web.
